Free Ballroom Dance Instruction for High Schoolers
The Triangle High School Ballroom Association, or THSBA, is an organization committed to providing life-changing opportunities to high school students in Raleigh, Cary, and Morrisville through ballroom dance!
Why Ballroom Dance?
Ballroom dance is the great crossover between athletics and the arts. It has the physical benefits of athletics, helping build healthy bodies and habits, and teaching discipline and teamwork; while also drawing on the creativity and culture of fine arts. It is proven to relieve stress, increase flexibility, and grow strength. In short, ballroom dance has physical, mental, emotional, and cultural benefits that we want high school students in the Triangle to have!
What We Do
The Triangle High School Ballroom Association main goal is to help high school students discover and express themselves through the art and sport of ballroom dance. We do this by offering free ballroom dance instruction to high school clubs and to extra-curricular clubs sponsored by THSBA.
Students also receive coupons to offset the cost of shoes and have the opportunity to participate in showcases and competitions organized by THSBA.
Our hope is that students will be physically and culturally enriched and pay it forward to their community!
How Can I Help?
You can help by donating, volunteering, and attending THSBA events! THSBA is a completely volunteer nonprofit that functions only because of contributions from the public. Our work is further enhanced when members of the community come and watch what our amazing students are learning as they perform and compete at events!
Any and all is support is greatly appreciated.
